psychotherapy
I provide individual counseling as well as relationship, family and group counseling to human beings in all types of relationship and family structures. I offer Telehealth video therapy sessions and in-person sessions at 1220 SW Morrison ST in Portland. I celebrate, honor and affirm all identities within and beyond the LGBTQIA+ community.
Many clients have worked with me on anxiety, exploration of LGBTQIA+ identity/challenges, navigating relationships with loved ones, family conflict, parenting challenges, depression, healing from trauma and improving their relationships with themselves.
One of the therapies I offer is Sensorimotor Psychotherapy. This is a therapy that helps to connect the mind and the body and that helps individuals to regulate their nervous systems (which helps everything!) as well as to work towards healing from trauma if relevant. I use techniques/frameworks from Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Collaborative Problem Solving, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I approach all counseling from a person-centered, strengths-based perspective. My work is influenced by neuroscience research and mindfulness-based practices.
In my practice, I strive to co-create a compassionate, non-judgmental, open space in which we can collaborate to clarify goals, build healing, strengthen skills and cultivate resilience. It’s genuinely a passion for me to assist you in exploring and discovering more about your own mind. With this embodied learning (along with support and patience), you can begin to guide your mind to “work” for you- rather than you “working” for it. I welcome any and all feedback as my counseling is about supporting you in the way that you need to be supported.
Insurance: I accept OHP, AETNA, MODA and Regence Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance.
